The feeling of living at the end of the world is somehow inherent, well we know there are some other parts of the world worse than here, Brazil is known for beautiful beaches, carnival or nice and happy people, not anymore....
Jair Bolsonaro came to power in 2018, fascist and authoritarian agenda, he promoted the worst genocide ever, denied vaccine for covid, told people to go to work and nothing happened and the results were more 700,000 dead, no vaccine, no oxygen in hospitals, etc,etc.
Besides his terrible call for a covid pandemic, he has tried to destroy the pillars of our democracy by calling for the military to take power. "Bolsonarismo", as it is called here, has also turned into a cult.
The Christians have become a big problem here too, their agenda in the Brazilian Congress has cut all funding for the Yanomamis Indians, Bolsonaro has promoted the Golden Diggers campaign, destroyed the Amazon rainforest, the most terrible campaign of deforestation, Indians are dying, rivers are poisoned, here too we have the increase in the number of weapons sold, violence against minorities, women, black people, etc.., etc., Jair Bolsonaro says: family, God and homeland (as Mussolini also said it... clearer than that...).
And there is also a massive campaign of Fake News, everywhere. Most of the songs are about this situation, we can't sit down at home and just ignore what's going on....
The statues on fire "IV" is mainly an anti-fascist and anti-good Christian album, some other songs also go to a personal level.
